Summary:
Ever do anything ill-advised while under the influence? Melinda and Matthew did. Stranded in a snowstorm, drowning their sorrows these two strangers got “Married While Intoxicated.” See how they handle their sticky situation in this hilarious romantic comedy from Award-Winning Author Fran Shaff.
My Thoughts:
This is a cute and quick read available only on Kindle that you must approach with a light-heart. Don’t have the attitude “Well, that’s the most unrealistic and stupidest thing I’ve ever heard!” I almost did this and an eye roll or two followed. This story is meant to be a good-natured, fun comedy about a tricky dilemma that’s fun to read on a rainy day.
While the ending is satisfying, I would have enjoyed it if there were a bit more mishaps for Melinda and Matthew to deal with before getting to that ending. It felt a little rushed in places, but the characters were fun and engaging. The story overall served its purpose of taking my mind off of reality for a bit. I was able to take off my “serious” goggles and just enjoy a laugh or two.
