Most days, I'm good. I can get by and only think of you once— maybe twice— as a passing thought. Then there are days like today. When the breeze picks up and the rain draws near. When the leaves have all fallen and colder weather is here. I need a jacket— No— a blanket and... Continue Reading →
Something Seems Off
Something in the air has changed. If I could only trace my finger to the answer, I might shake this alien feeling. The rhythm is all wrong— Off by an unheard beat. However subtle it may be, The vibrations are different. This change remains nameless. Is it Good? Bad? Something else entirely? My mind perhaps... Continue Reading →
Bone Fragments
I have boxes of bone fragments I need to sort through and store away. They used to be full skeletons, but through the years that pass me by-- and even in the present-- today, On my highest closet self in the safest lock-box, they continue to decay.
For Travis
In but a fleeting moment, I caught a breath of the freshest air– a glimpse of a vibrant creation. Tragic its light was so brutally extinguished. With my own eyes, I saw it. We Never Get Snow Down Here
I watch with the morbid curiosity that comes with being twelve as they carry your body out of your apartment. The blanket is sliding off your corpse as they struggle to get you down the stairs. What happened to body bags? You helped me make cupcakes once. Cupcakes for my school bake-off sale. Now you're... Continue Reading →
My Poetry Book is Now Available on Kindle
Hello all! I am happy to announce that my poetry book, Restless Reflections is now available on Kindle. I will not lie. I am not happy with the formating. There is no table of contents included on the digital version, nor are there proper page breaks. I had to remove the images that are included... Continue Reading →
