In but a fleeting moment, I caught a breath of the freshest air– a glimpse of a vibrant creation. Tragic its light was so brutally extinguished. With my own eyes, I saw it. Alas, this broken soul could not touch its warmth. These restraints held too strong. * From my poetry book Restless Reflections
Entice
So good on the surface does the warmth feel as it beckons to the bloom. The perfect ruse. Entice the flower’s soul just enough to open it up, then choke it with an icy breath until it shrivels. Magnificent. *from my poetry book, Restless Reflections.

Field of Despair
As the light began to fade, she found herself standing in a tall grassy field with shadows looming over the horizon. The gentle breeze played with her hair as she listened to the sound of the cicadas drown out her thoughts. She wasn’t sure why she was there. She wasn’t even sure how she had... Continue Reading →
Looking Back

Pearl
I once found a majestic pearl on the shoreline. But alas, though I treasured it so, I carelessly dropped it in the ocean while sailing one day. Many sunsets have since passed, and I still have yet to forget its beauty. And while I yearn to hold it in my hand once more, I know... Continue Reading →
Time and Glass
It seems that time takes every second of our lives and encases it in a coat of glass. We can still see it, but we can no longer touch it. Once the glass shatters, that memory is forgotten and ceases to exist. It all seems so unreal to look back on memories. To think that... Continue Reading →
The Boy in the Picture
There was an old photo in my attic, of you… when you were a child at play. You had given it to me back in the day, back when we were lovers… before our hearts both ran astray. I study the picture of the little boy, who’s grinning. I didn’t know your heart back then…... Continue Reading →
